Privacy notice

Short version: Nostos hasn't launched. The only personal information it collects right now is an email address — and only if you type one into the launch-list form. We use it once, to tell you when Nostos is ready to try. We never sell it, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing.
Nostos is an independent, non-commercial project run by an individual commuter in New Jersey. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to New Jersey Transit, Amtrak, or the MTA.
Standard web-server logs (such as IP address and browser type) may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running, as with any website. We do not use those logs to identify or track individual visitors.
To send you a single notification when Nostos launches — and any brief, directly related follow-up about that launch. That's the only reason.
To deliver the form to us, your submission is processed by our form and email service provider (currently Web3Forms), acting solely on our behalf to pass the message along. That is the only party that handles your address, and only for that purpose. We do not sell, rent, license, or share it with anyone for their own use.
Until you've been told about launch and the launch list has served its purpose, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. Ask any time and we'll remove it.
Separately from anything about you, Nostos analyses New Jersey Transit's public data feeds — how often trains run late or are cancelled. Those statistics describe the railroad, not its riders, contain nothing personal, and are treated differently: we may publish or license that analysis. Nothing in that ever involves your email address or anything else about you.
